Terror strikes Jaipur

Terrorists are exploring new venues. They are getting emboldened with each strikes. Thirteen bombs planted in a single city so close to each other !! It gives a hint of BIG SECURITY LAPSE ! One of the bomb was planted just outside a police station ! That shows how alert the police in Rajasthan was!

No solution seems working for the problems like this.

The bomb blast outside the police station doesn't indicate anything about the alertness of police. You can't check every person entering to police station for a bomb, as this was the least expected thing. Only thing i can say is that the bomb blast outside the police station is a proof of terrorist group's cleverness, bravery and indicates how well planed they were. It is unlikely to blame police for that. And about serial blasts, how can you arrange so many bomb deffusing squad in this short span of time. By the time you would have ordered so do so, everything was finsihed, 9 major blasts had been taken place in a period of 15 minutes. But still i appriciate the effort of police, as they got 4 live bombs (NDTV report) and diffused it and also reacted nicely on this matter.

We generally get a few standard guidelines to tackle terrorism as citizens. One of them is to report any suspicious unclaimed object be reported to police. Police itself failed to follow the golden rule. I do understand that blasts occurred out of nowhere. But then, isn't it there duty to ensure that they know it may happen ?

yeah, I completely agree with what ever you are saying. But expecting such blasts at a place where such incident never happened is unlikely. If the same situation would have been occured in Kashmir aur North-East states there was a chance of getting the explosives beforehand, as these things are common at such places. So, police and people both are more alert at such places. Now this thing happened in Jaipur, then I am sure there would be more alertness in citizens of Jaipur and the police, and why only Jaipur. I think the impact would be at a national level, beacuse if a blast can happen in a place like Jaipur which was quite unlikely, then it can happen anywhere.

It was unlikely indeed but 13 bombs were brought to the city, planted and exploded, hundreds got injured and we are still clueless. That is what bothers me. It takes a lot of time to put together these above sequence of events but police could not intercept even one of them. So i still persist that it's state intelligence+police failure at large !
